Founded in 1992 by three legendary glass blowers, Oceanside Glass & Tile began in an old WWII fighter jet assembly plant in California. Their mission was to bring the timeless beauty of European glass mosaics to the U.S., bridging the art glass world with interior design. The founders pioneered hand-cut, cast glass mosaics reminiscent of ancient Mesopotamian tiles.
Commitment to Sustainability
Oceanside Glass & Tile has always prioritized eco-friendly manufacturing. Early on, they incorporated recycled bottle cullet into their mosaics. Despite changes in raw material sourcing, they maintain their green roots with pre-consumer recycling, clean emissions, and energy-efficient operations.
Expanding Horizons
The business expanded across San Diego, eventually establishing a state-of-the-art production facility in Baja California. This expansion allowed Oceanside Glass & Tile to enhance their manufacturing capabilities and product range.
Technological Advancements
In 2017, Oceanside acquired historic sheet glass manufacturing formulas and equipment, integrating these into their existing facility. This allowed them to produce a wide range of art glass products and unparalleled tile products using unique art glass sheets.
